The National Republican Congressional Committee is putting extra might behind Jim Gerlach's 6th District reelection campaign in suburban Philly, against doctor/Iraq War vet Manan Trivedi, CQ Politics reports:

Even in a cycle that is favorable to Republicans, Gerlach's southeast Pennsylvania seat is expected to be competitive. Gerlach won his previous four House races, but never by much. Last cycle, his unheralded opponent held him to just a 4-point win. Meanwhile President Barack Obama won the district by 17 points in the 2008 presidential election.
