Dahlkemper donates Rangel cash

Catching up on this tidbit from Monday: According to the Erie Times-News, Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper, D-Erie, is donating the $14,000 in campaign donations she's received from the embattled Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y., who faces an ethics trial this week, to local charities in the Erie area. The Rangel issue is giving Dems a lot of headaches heading into the August recess and many Republicans -- including Senate candidate Pat Toomey -- are calling on their foes to reject Rangel's monetary support.

Dahlkemper, as I documented in Monday's Post-Gazette, has received more money than almost anyone from her House colleagues, which she has used to help build a sizeable fundraising advantage over former Butler city councilman Mike Kelly in their race this year.
