Bubba's back

In Philadelphia Monday, Former President Bill Clinton pitched in for the candidacies of Joe Sestak and Dan Onorato.

Mr. Clinton was in town for former British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s appearance to receive the Liberty Medal, but he made the most of his schedule, standing with Mr. Sestak in an event in the city’s suburbs before joining Mr. Onorato at a West Philadelphia rally.    Both Democrats are counting on a big _ or at least respectable _ turnout in the Southeast to counter the anticipated GOP tide on Nov. 2.

“If Philadelphia shows up in this election like you showed up for me,” Clinton said, according to Pa2010.com’s account of the morning event. “Dan Onorato will be the next governor of Pennsylvania.”

Mr. Clinton has appeared with both candidates in recent weeks. His ties to Mr. Sestak go way back as the retired admiral  worked on his National Security Council staff while still serving in the Navy.  They appeared at the Kaiserman Jewish Community Center in Wynnewood.
