Tom Corbett still leads by 10 points in the governor's race, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports poll, but Dan Onorato has gained ground since their last survey, leading the pollsters to rate the race as a bit more competitive for the Democrat. That is, they're moving their rating from "Solid GOP" to "Leans GOP."

Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett, a Republican, still holds the lead in the race to be the state’s next governor.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the Keystone State shows Corbett earning 49% support, while his Democratic opponent, Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato, picks up 39% of the vote. Two percent (2%) like some other candidate in the race, and 10% remain undecided.

But the new findings move Pennsylvania from Solid GOP to Leans GOP in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Gubernatorial Scorecard.

Late last month, Corbett held a 50% to 37% over Onorato.  Corbett has led the race in surveys since February, with support ranging from 45% to 52%. Onorato has picked up 26% to 39% of the vote in the same period.

The survey of 500 likely voters was conducted Monday, the same day Bill Clinton was stumping for Onorato in Philly, and has a MoE of 4.5%. Toplines here.

UPDATE: That said, the latest rankings from FiveThirtyEight/NYT pollster Nate Silver say Corbett has a nearly 90 percent chance of winning the race (NYT graphic below).
