CHARLESTON – A release sent this morning from the West Virginia Republican Party about Joe Manchin’s new advertising campaign misquotes Mike Stuart, chairman of the West Virginia Republican Party.

“The release was in error and statements were incorrect. I am a tremendous supporter of Patriot Coal and all of its employees. I understand the challenges every coal company and every miner face each day, and I regret any harm this may have caused,” said Stuart.

The West Virginia Republican Party apologizes for the error.
