Getting ugly for Dems in PA-3
Two weeks ago, the National Journal rated Kathy Dahlkemper's reelection bid the 28th most competitive congressional race in the country. Today, it's up to 11th. Their explanation:
A new Franklin & Marshall College poll, and most GOP polls since July, show Dahlkemper down and sitting in the high 30s. It's starting to get ugly.
They also note that Joe Manchin's rough Senate polls are hurting fellow Democrat Mike Oliverio, in WVA-1, across the top of the Mountain State:
In West Virginia, signs that the Senate race is tightening -- once unthinkable -- are very bad news for downballot Democrats like House candidate Mike Oliverio. If Gov. Joe Manchin (D) really does have a race on his hands for the late Robert Byrd's Senate seat, then Republicans may have caught the break they needed to jump back into this race.
