MC: Onorato goes negative

Published by Tim McNulty on .

It was bound to happen. With all those undecideds out there (as pollsters told us for a story today), Dan Onorato's advertising was bound to take a negative turn to try to make up the gap.

John Micek at the Morning Call reports this morning that the Onorato camp is up with two new new ads, one attacking Tom Corbett on his budgeting as AG and another hitting him on his comments on the unemployed a couple months back. The Corbett team is using the ads to fundraise, John also says. (Copies of the ads are not yet online.)

It bears mentioning that the Corbett team has already been up with two negative spots -- the first linking Onorato to Ed Rendell and cigar-filled rooms, and the second criticizing a state-funded Arlen Specter library.
