NRSC's first ad on Sestak

Published by Tim McNulty on .

From the folks you brought you the hick-y ad, it's . . . a new National Republican Senatorial Committee spot on Joe Sestak.

Actually, it's the NRSC's first "IE" or independent expenditure for an ad targeting the Democrat, and really, there was no rush, what with the barrage of third-party spots hitting him already from the NRA, the US Chamber of Commerce, and so on. (Not to mention Pat Toomey's own ads.)

And this time they don't deploy canned Philadelphia actors -- instead they use Sestak's own words on TV (some of them during the Dem primary, when he was tacking to the port side) to paint him as far left on health care reform, cap-and-trade and the stimulus.

We'll put the NRSCĀ  transcript of the ad, with their supporting information, after the jump. In response, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is touting a new internal poll claiming Sestak has jumped to a 2 point lead in the race, which we'll post in a sec.
