Butler car dealer Mike Kelly out-raised PA-3 congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper during the third quarter FEC fundraising period, though the incumbent Democrat still enjoyed a healthy cash advantage at the start of the month.

Dahlkemper raised $339,411 during the July-September period, spent $510,485 and went into the homestretch with $827,713 -- benefiting from the $1 million-plus she carried into the summer.

Her GOP opponent raised $478,073, spent $325,604 and had $254,763 in the bank. In another show, perhaps, of the momentum behind Kelly he did not have to loan himself as much money as he did the spring -- this time pumping $36,500 into his campaign, for a grand total of $451,500 for the year.
