It's surprising that this ad hasn't run ad sooner.

Given the Democratic obsession with Social Security, John Boehner's comment in June that he'd be open to raising the retirement age to 70 for some workers was bound to make its way into this race, and does here in an ad from the Alliance For Retired Americans, a union-affiliated group that supports Democrats. It shows elderly people having trouble doing physically-demanding work like coal mining, fighting fires and lifeguarding, which really hammers away the point -- though it doesn't mention Democrats have floated the idea too.

The group is running three ads in Pa supporting Chris Carney, Mark Critz and (below) Joe Sestak.
