Gleason supports Priebus for RNC

Published by Tim McNulty on .

Pa's Republican chair announced last night that he's supporting Wisconsin GOP chair Reince Priebus over Michael Steele for head of the Republican National Committee:

“I am honored to announce my support for Reince Priebus for Republican National Committee Chairman,” Gleason said.  “Despite our Party’s electoral success in 2010, it has become clear that the RNC needs new leadership.  We need a chairman who is committed to fundraising, party building and grassroots campaigning in advance of the critical 2011-2012 election cycle.  After carefully evaluating each of the candidates, I am confident that Reince Priebus is the best choice to lead our Party.”
