Murphy in clover

Published by Tim McNulty on .

Year-end reports are in for Western Pa's congressional delegation, and they show Tim Murphy is in a good cash position while Jason Altmire is not.

Murphy, the Upper St. Clair Republican sometimes mentioned as a Senate challenger to Bob Casey, ended 2010 with $384,089 in cash. Altmire, the McCandless Democrat who won reelection by just 2 percentage points, started 2011 with just $4,083.

Pittsburgh's congressman, Democrat Mike Doyle, had $100,616. Johnstown Democrat Mark Critz had $8,890 in cash, but owed $45,720.

We'll update with Butler Republican Mike Kelly's info when it's filed with the FEC.

UPDATE: Kelly ended the year with $28,469 in cash, but $382,720 in debt too, almost all of it in loans the car dealer made to his campaign.
