Welcome, Ms. Rudiak

Welcome to City Hall, Natalia Rudiak.
Rudiak, who took office in January, has been given the task of chairing a city council task force on the city's shoddy response to to the Feb. 5 snowfall. Problem is the mayor's office (via the city's public safety director, Mike Huss) hasn't responded to her inquiries -- in fact, the mayor's office claimed yesterday, it's doing its own investigation of its own response.
Ms. Rudiak was not Mayor Ravenstahl's preferred pick in the District 4 race, and she voted with mayoral critics in a bitter council presidency vote in her first day of office (backing Darlene Harris, who put her in charge of the snow panel). She has also questioned Ravenstahl's parking lease/pension proposal, despite being named to the city parking authority board by the mayor.
She has vowed to go on with the study anyway despite the mayor's lack of help and has launched a website to get feedback on the city's snow removal performance.
