Joni Rabinowitz will not be running for county controller, despite being on the list of those seeking the Democratic committee's endorsement.

The former director of anti-hunger group Just Harvest tells Early Returns that she contemplated running for a countywide office as part of a platform to bar Marcellus shale drilling on county land, including that in the airport corridor. She has now reconsidered running for office, she said, but will continue working "to convince whoever is going to be county executive [drilling] is something they should not do."
