Santorum's Fox News echochamber

Published by Tim McNulty on .

We should have guessed.

When Fox News's Rick Santorum wanted to defend himself for comments to Fox News's Glenn Beck's website about Fox News's Sarah Palin -- which pushed Palin to call him a "neanderthal" on Sean Hannity's Fox News show -- he went on Greta Van Susteren's show. (On Fox News.)

His defense? He's a big fan of Palin's reality show. From GOP12:

"This is a news story. Could they have said 'is that what you meant?'

And I would have said 'No' -- that we know that I know, because, because she does -- we've watched, I think, we've watched every episode of Sarah Palin's Alaska. We enjoy it. We like to watch with the family. I know she has obligations to do other things.

.... I just assumed she was busy, that's all."

Santorum also has a defender in the National Review's Kathryn Jean Lopez, who wrote that it's "a stretch" to argue that Santorum was really criticizing Palin.
