Daily Santorum, 3/3/11
Lots to report today of course, after Rick Santorum got the most publicity yet of his pre-presidential campaign (outside of fighting with Sarah Palin).
John King interviewed the newly-freed Santorum on CNN last night, and treated the talkative ex-Senator "like the like the most exclusive get in journalism," Politico said sarcastically.
"I was a consistent conservative when it wasn't cool," he says. (Tom Fitzgerald/Big Tent)
Mike Allen/Politico: "Santorum is in, but who cares?"

He's at 2% in the latest WSJ/NBC poll. Better than zero-point-zero.
Hotline: Santorum's stance on DOMA is helping him, but Obama would sure rather face a social conservative like him than a deficit hawk like Mitch Daniels.
He travels through all the big early states next week -- Iowa, NH, SC -- bringing his grand total of stops there to 30 already. (GOP12)
The indispensible GOP12 also reports that the marriage-crusader Santorum -- speaking about Rick Santorum in the third person -- says he will not go after Newt Gingrich on marital issues:
SANTORUM: It's not an issue for Rick Santorum. Every candidate out there, or every potential candidate out there is going to have issues.
They don't make them perfect anymore, and so I'm going to just go out and talk about what I have done in my career, what I stand for, what I'm about, and let other folks do the same.
And I think that's the best way that we're going to get the best possible person to face off in 2012.
