Former Minnesota Gov. and probable 2012 presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty has been booked for his first major Pennsylvania appearance -- he's the keynoter at the Republican Committee of Allegheny County's spring dinner on May 6 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

UPDATE: Pawlenty's due to make a political announcement today, says the AP. No major GOP names have yet officially announced for prez.

UPDATE 2: It's going to be an exploratory committee.
