Daily Santorum 3/31/11
Last night our former Senator -- holder of the belt for best foreign policy experience in a GOP weight class that Politico has found less than thrilling of late, pushing off a scheduled debate from May to September -- was on Fox hammering Obama on Libya.
The prez "simply didn't do anything until the United Nations sort of forced his hand," Santorum told Greta Van Susteren. He "did a good acting job" in his Libya speech Monday, he continued.
Speaking of speeches, Santorum will be in Amarillo, Texas, tonight to headline the annual fundraiser for CareNet Pregnancy Centers, an agency that provides pregancy tests, ultrasounds, information and assistance to women in order to urge them against having abortions.
As we know, RS has tried to place himself on the far right of the GOP presidential class, being a most vocal critic of Obama (or other Republicans) or advocate for moral issues or the governmental role of Christianity. But there's bad news in the form of mini-Santorum Michele Bachmann -- just when he was starting to look good in Iowa (with Huckabee and Palin out, so far) she can really hurt him there, PoliticsPa writes.
But how would she do in New Hampshire? God knows he's put in the shoe leather there. From an item today by Union-Leader columnist Johm DiStaso: "The thing I hear the most from people in New Hampshire is, 'You're working hard,' and that's not a bad thing to be known for," Santorum said.
