Sestak: "major" speech tomorrow

Published by Tim McNulty on .

Joe Sestak's campaign is billing an event in DC tomorrow night as a "major campaign speech," co-starring former National Security advisor Richard Clarke (pictured). The speech seems to be matching more talk on Sestak's military background with the first anniversary of the Specter party-switch we mentioned earlier.Richard Clarke

From the campaign:

MEDIA, PA - Exactly one year after Arlen Specter's party switch, Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Congressman Joe Sestak will deliver a major campaign speech at American University in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, April 28 at 6:30 PM. Joe will focus very personally on how his upbringing and military career shaped his principles and values and led him to become a Democrat -- in sharp contrast to Arlen Specter, who joined the party when he concluded he could not win reelection as a Republican. Joe will set the record straight on his 31-year record of distinguished service in the Navy.

Joe will be introduced by counter-terrorism expert and former National Security Council advisor Richard Clarke.
