The new Washington Post-ABC News poll found the public in a decidedly anti-incumbent mood, the likes of which has not been seen since the early-1990s.

Six times in Post-ABC polling - including the most recent poll - the share of registered voters who say they are "inclined to look around for someone else to vote for" has outnumbered by 20 points or more the share who say they are more apt to re-elect their representative in Congress. With the exception of the current result, all of these instances occurred before the 1994 Republican takeover.

Q. Thinking about politics: Right now, are you inclined to vote to re-elect your representative in Congress in the next election or are you inclined to look around for someone else to vote for?
