Kelly attacks Huber in PA3

Published by Tim McNulty on .

Mike Kelly has his second ad up in the PA-3 GOP race, and it attacks Paul Huber -- the other candidate spending heavily in the race -- on his former manufacturing firm sending jobs overseas. (Side note: this is also one of the Democratic attack lines on Tim Burns in the PA-12 race.)

Here's response from the Huber camp:

The truth is that employment in Northwest Pennsylvania at Seco/Warwick increased by 40% during the time that Huber owned the business.

Huber has also served for over twenty years on an economic development board, helping to bring new companies and jobs to our region and help existing companies expand and grow.

Danny O’Driscoll, a spokesman for the Huber campaign, said “Mike Kelly is stealing a page directly from the liberal playbook, launching lies and smears against a successful businessman who has created Pennsylvania jobs and served his community.

In related news, there was a bit of a kerfuffle among some of the candidates over the location of a Tea Party event Sunday. Why? It was set Kelly's car dealership. (Mercer County Conservatives/Roberta Biros)
