Published by Tim McNulty on .

Butler car dealer and 3rd district GOP candidate Mike Kelly -- running low on cash against fellow establishment candidate Paul Huber -- loaned himself $100,000 on Friday, according to late filings with the FEC.

In their final spending reports Thursday, Kelly was down to $36,800 in cash to Huber's $179,000. Both had spent more than $200,000 in the race and both had self-funded, with Huber loaning his campaign $300,000 and Kelly $165,000. Kelly loaned himself the additional $100,000 in a 48-hour contribution notice posted yesterday.
