Burns says hi

Tim Burns, Republican candidate in District 12, went down to the ballroom of the George Washington Hotel in downtown Washington Pa minutes after the polls closed at 8 p.m., to check with staff members on arrangements.

"Things are going great," Mr. Burns said. "All voters were excited about this election. I believe they've really come out and voted today, and they look at this as a great opportunity to send a strong message to Washington."

Asked about problems with voting at polling places, Mr. Burns said "I haven't had a chance to pay attention to any of the problems today. I've focused on meeting as many voters as I could, shaking hands, and I'm leaving that right now to the staff."
