About a quarter voted

Published by Tim McNulty on .

There was a lot of talk yesterday about poor turnout -- which, as we noted, is historically bad in midterm elections in Pa. We'll surely have more on this through the day and week, but here is a quick look at turnout by registered voters statewide:

Democrats 24%, Republicans 27%. (Dems cast 1,018,845 votes in the governor's race, and Repubs 850,995.)

In Allegheny County, turnout by both Ds and Rs was 28%. In Philadelphia, Dem turnout was 20% and Republican 13%.
